Skill #1 Cradling
Cradling is the skill of carrying the ball in your stick while maneuvering on the field. It is the first skill to develop. Catching, throwing and scooping build off of the cradle. Modern women's lacrosse play emphasises a relaxed grip wrist/fingers cradle motion. It takes a lot of repetition to develop the control and motor coordination with both the left and right hands, but it can easily be mastered at home with 10 minutes of practice a day.   See video for demonstration and tips.
